September – October Newsletter

Dear au pairs and host families,

Believe it or not summer is over and we are back in school in full swing. Most likely everyone had to change the schedules around due to school. Please make sure that the schedule changes are understood by everyone in the household so there would be no confusion of timing for on and off hours. It is beneficial for the family and an au pair to have a clear understanding about the working hours and non-working hours, preferably at the beginning of the week, so everyone could plan their activities ahead of time.

Also, this is the time when most universities and other educational institutions are starting their classes. All the au pairs that are interested to take classes this fall semester need to take action fast. Please ask questions if you have them.

August monthly meeting

Thank you everyone who came to the Mary Kay party. I hope all of you enjoyed it and learned something about the skincare. I want to give a shout out and say thank you to Magda Brady for coming and giving us the presentation and sharing her knowledge.

If any of you would like to get in touch with her or purchase anything, please see her website.

Host families! Talk to your au pairs and ask if there was something that they liked from Mary Kay but they were not able to buy it. May be it could be a good Christmas gift! And you never know – you might want something for yourself too.
